As a successful freelancer in the marketing industry for more than 4 years now, I realized a few tips right in the morning to help you change your day:

  • Plan your day the night before.
  • We need our cortisol to peak right in the morning, which means a 15-20-minute walk in the morning sun.
  • Have caffeine about 90 minutes after waking up. Have the most difficult task done with that caffeine.
  • Staying hydrated is directly proportional to your concentration during work.
  • Break down larger tasks into smaller ones to make them more manageable.
  • To eliminate distractions, choose a dedicated workplace where you can work in peace without any interruptions.
  • To build networks, attend industry events, collaborate with other freelancers, and communicate with them.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in your field, learn new tools, and gain skills as well.
  • Use the Pomodoro technique, a time management technique, i.e., work continuously for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break, repeat this three times, and then take a longer break of 15–30 minutes. It helps the body and mind work efficiently.
  • Talk with clients and know their needs and what they want.
